The Verge staff on the Switch 2: what we love and what we don’t

The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally, officially out, and Verge staffers person spent a clump of clip playing with it. The caller console has a batch of improvements, similar a bigger surface and an other USB-C port. There's a clump of games to play, too, including a caller Mario Kart and bully updates to older games.

Bigger screen

I privation the Switch 2 had an OLED screen, peculiarly considering the price, but this 7.9-inch, 1080p 120Hz sheet perfectly makes my archetypal 6.2-inch Switch look similar a bargain basement tablet by comparison. It's so overmuch much existent estate, it's crisper and clearer, navigating the UI feels smoother acknowledgment to the precocious refresh rate, and I nary longer consciousness similar my tract of imaginativeness is getting squeezed by loads of disfigured bezel.

But the Switch OLED already solved a fewer of those issues. And portion reasonably bright, the Switch 2's surface can't comparison to the Steam Deck OLED's amazingly agleam and colorful HDR panel. -Sean Hollister, elder editor
