Supreme Court won’t hear AI-generated art copyright case

The US Supreme Court has declined to perceive a lawsuit implicit whether AI-generated creation tin get a copyright, as reported earlier by Reuters. The Monday determination comes aft Stephen Thaler, a machine idiosyncratic from Missouri, appealed a court's determination to uphold a ruling that recovered AI-generated creation can't beryllium copyrighted.

In 2019, the US Copyright Office rejected Thaler's petition to copyright an image, called A Recent Entrance to Paradise, connected behalf of an algorithm helium created. The Copyright Office reviewed the determination successful 2022 and determined that the representation doesn't see "human authorship," disqualifying it from copyright protection.
