In 1986, physics euphony pioneer Laurie Spiegel created Music Mouse, a mode for those with a Mac, Atari, oregon Amiga machine to dabble successful algorithmic euphony creation. Music Mouse is deceptively simple: Notes are arranged connected an XY grid, and you play it by moving a rodent around. Back successful 1986, the machine rodent was inactive a comparatively caller device. While it tin hint its origins backmost to the precocious '60s, it wasn't until the Macintosh 128K successful 1984 that it started seeing wide adoption.
