Apple sues OpenAI for allegedly stealing hardware secrets

Apple has sued OpenAI, alleging that erstwhile employees that present enactment for the AI institution person stolen Apple's commercialized secrets "for the payment of OpenAI." In its complaint, Apple alleges that it has uncovered "a signifier of theft of Apple's commercialized secrets by OpenAI employees who were formerly astatine Apple," and it names IO Products (Jony Ive's hardware startup that OpenAI bought successful 2025), Tang Tan (OpenAI's main hardware officer), and Chang Liu (who joined OpenAI from Apple successful January) arsenic defendants.
